Everyone knows summer calls for piping-hot releases, the kind that soundtrack your sun-soaked day trips and golden-hour gatherings. Lucky for you, we've got nine releases that have landed on our desks over the past couple of weeks that we'd love to share with you -- fresh off the press. Think of this as your insider scoop on every artist that needs to be on your radar right now that you can add to your garden party playlists to really impress your guests.

Lily Knott - 'Blonde'
Lily Knott offers a beautiful exploration of heartbreak in 'Blonde', capturing the harsh reality of watching someone move on to someone with a striking resemblance to you, while you simply find yourself. This track is delicate yet emotionally charged and expresses every feeling perfectly. She balances cynicism and finding humour in heartache, when someone's words and actions no longer align. The closing lyric 'you're stuck on blonde, I'm more than blonde' lands like a true mic drop moment of defiance. Building upon her previous release, 'Sunny Side Up', Lily is truly stepping into a new era where she bares all, embracing vulnerability and every lyric stems from her lived experience, drawing in the listener to absorb each moment in its entirety.
Mitch Sanders - 'Heaven Is Ours'
An exciting release this Friday was Mitch Sanders' new single, 'Heaven Is Ours'. This is a deep-toned indie rock tune filled to the brim with dramatic brooding energy. The stripped back guitar and drum at the beginning of this track really draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat on the first listen. The repeated line of 'fall into my arms' when paired to a siren-like pulse in the back as the song fades out ends the track on a lamenting tone that leaves you waiting patiently -- or perhaps, not so patiently, if you're as hooked as us -- for what's next in the world of Mitch Sanders.

Sofia Camara - 'Girls Like You'
Sofia Camara is everything you want from a pop star in 2025, sharing traits of many of our long term favourite superstars like Tate McRae, as well as Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo (dare we say their names in the same sentence) with a fresh new sound. 'Girls Like You' has dropped just in time for Hot Girl Summer, connect to a speaker and play this track out loud as you and your besties are getting ready for a pub garden. The chorus of 'Against better judgement / I'm letting down my guard / I know the repercussions' is addictive yet a tongue-in-cheek retelling of doing something scandalous regardless of the potential fallout. We've all been there, and it's good to know we've got something to listen to next time we're in one of those situations...
ISSA ODYSSEA - 'the end (of the world)'
A highly anticipated release was ISSA ODYSSEA's newest single, 'the end (of the world)'. This gloomy, early Billie Eilish-esque track is perfect for those late night drives with flawless harmonic vocals on the chorus with the haunting question of 'Is this the end of the world?' and voice notes sprinkled throughout. ISSA is such an exciting artist who is truly carving out her own space in the music industry right now with such an intricate level of production quality in everything that she releases. Its climax in the final minute makes your heart drop (in the best way) creating a moment you just know will be unforgettable live. Don’t blink, or you might miss this artist’s rapid ascent into mainstream stardom.

Alessi Rose - 'Same Mouth'
Every release from Alessi Rose just keeps getting stronger, offering a perfect glimpse into what we can expect from her upcoming EP, 'Voyeur'. 'Same Mouth' absolutely lives up to the hype from the teasers online, and renditions that fans haven’t been able to get enough of during her live sets. It paints this vivid picture of being tangled up with someone messy, who will not fully commit and chooses to keep entertaining other options at the same time. The brutal bridge is the cherry on top, capturing that whirlwind of hurt that comes from being completely consumed by someone you cannot maintain. There is this ache present that runs through the track, born from a kind of intoxicating pain we can actually feel. Yet somehow, she still crafts an insanely catchy pop hit. As if we needed reminding, 'Same Mouth' serves as even more proof that Alessi is set to absolutely excel as a pop artist.
Karly Bowman - 'Not This Again'
Karly Bowman is Blonde Vibrations certified through and through. With her latest single, 'Not This Again', she does not shy away from owning the tough truths of making those decisions that just won’t serve you. This track dives deep into the cycle of revisiting the past despite the flaws, and the complicated act of admitting you still care. At first listen, it feels upbeat, but once you catch the lyrics, that raw vulnerability shines through, giving the track a powerful, honest edge. Karly’s music feels like a diary of her evolving journey, and every release so far has hit strong. The closing line, ‘you love me when I’m not but hate me when I’m yours’ nails that bittersweet realisation of giving time to someone who just loves the ability of having you around, and Karly navigates this with a heavy heart.

Sara Baroni - 'The Start Again'
Sara Baroni marks her arrival as a quietly powerful new voice in alt-pop scene with her debut EP, 'The Start Again'. 'I lost it, I miss it' dives into the ache of loss. Here, Sara explores being trapped in the memory of what once was, and trying to make sense of whether it is the person you miss, or just the comfort and familiarity they brought. Throughout the EP, Sara conveys a quiet sombreness that you can truly sink into. Fans of Beabadoobee will be especially drawn to 'Some Stranger', where Sara contrasts her airy, breathy vocals with a grittier, alt-inspired edge. There is a stripped back quality to her music that draws listeners in, something you can really feel on 'Where Did He Go?', a mellow track that lets you fully feel the melancholy it carries. 'Imaginary Pills' closes the EP with some of Sara’s most raw and powerful lyricism to date. It echoes the emotional vulnerability that she has carefully laid bare across the entire collection, capturing the weight of life, loss, and everything in between. This body of work is a striking introduction to Baroni's sound, that is bound to resonate with many listeners and hopefully reach a wider audience. Sara is an artist with real potential to go far.
girl in red - 'Hemingway'
What a special return to the music scene for girl in red. Ahead of her support slot for Olivia Rodrigo at BST Hyde Park this month, Marie has not only met expectations, but she has entirely exceeded them with 'Hemingway'. This new era feels like her most honest yet, and this track almost feels like an explanation to her fans. She approaches her mental health struggles with a real nuance, channelling that authenticity into every lyric and making it impossible not to feel connected to her story. Sonically, it feels like a nod to the tender moments found on her debut album ‘if i could make it go quiet’, alongside a notable evolution in Marie's songwriting, and depth as an artist. 'Hemingway' wraps you into this aching warmth, and stands out for its ability to confront heavy truths, and the road to healing.

Lola Rice - 'Freckle'
There is an instant wave of chills the moment you press play on ‘Freckle’. Listening to Lola Rice feels like being transported to a simpler, dreamier time. Her voice is both rich and fragile, and it is this balance that allows her ethereal quality to really shine. On this track, Lola’s vocals glide effortlessly, blending with soft harmonies to create a comforting sense of melancholy. Lola has so deliciously created a delicate sonic landscape, one that feels intimate and timeless. As the first track from her upcoming EP, ‘Freckle’ feels like the start of something truly special. Lola sounds like she is on the brink of a moment, one that will all be lucky to witness.
