Nieve Ella - 'Good Grace'

Nieve Ella comes back stronger with every release, and 'Good Grace' is no exception. Her charisma spills across the track effortlessly and you know that she is exactly the woman she thinks she is in this moment. The track is electric, bold, and drenched in a sound that feels unapologetically, unmistakably her as she has honed in on everything that made her previous hits, like 'Ganni Top (She Gets What She Needs)', instant cult classics. Every element clicks into place to create an anthem where this pent-up rage and frustration rises above the surface, leaning into this more punk influenced sound that works so well with her voice and tone. Nieve is at her most defiant here as she rejects toxicity and purposefully refuses to be boxed in to others' expectations, and we can already imagine the energy this will ignite in a live set. Nieve and her band truly keep levelling up and this has become an immediate highlight of her discography.

Ocean LeClair - 'Cool Kids'

Ocean LeClair just screams breezy summer anthem, the kind that makes you want to book a one-way flight to Los Angeles, throw your phone in the ocean, and drive down Sunset Boulevard in a convertible. 'Cool Kids' feels like the perfect soundtrack that fits this hazy daydream. This release is tailor-made for fans of The Beach Boys, or anyone who plays every last second of Lana Del Rey’s 9-minute hit 'Venice Bitch'. But, do not let the shimmer fool you. Ocean has dubbed this an 'anti-summer summer track' on TikTok, and you can feel that underlying tension. There is escapism, contempt and even a flicker of sorrow within the bridge, hiding beneath this glowing, retro soundscape. It truly masks heartbreak with a tan in the most addictive way possible.

Zara Smile - 'Fight Back'

Zara Smile personifies vulnerability within 'Fight Back', a powerful and heartfelt track that speaks to the feeling of never measuring up, no matter how much effort you pour in. It is a poignant response to an industry that often demands more than it rewards, and Zara articulates every last thought gently yet vividly. The inclusion of the strings throughout the song beautifully capture the emotional weight they carry, adding layers of depth and tenderness to every lyric. This song feels like a comforting embrace for anyone who has been drained but refuses to give in so easily, and provides a hug that holds you tight when you need it most. Everybody should listen to this track within their lifetime.

Lucy Starr - 'Wrapped Around My Little Finger'

This track fully earns its label as an 'anthemic bop' on BBC Radio 1. On 'Wrapped Around My Little Finger', Lucy Starr sounds every bit the rising star - her voice has a real grit and intensity that makes her instantly engaging to a new listener. The track’s chorus is the kind of catchy that lingers in your head long after it is over (yes, this is speaking from experience), and its guitar-driven production brings an alt-pop edge that suits Lucy's voice perfectly. It’s a direction we would love to see her lean into more with future releases. We can definitely see Lucy find a spot on a whole new wave of listeners' playlists in the coming months.

Lonnie Gunn - 'Lucky Girl'

For fans of Nxdia, Chloe Slater, and Towa Bird... this single is for you. Lonnie Gunn brings unstoppable energy on 'Lucky Girl', a self-described bubblegrunge banger that hits hard from the very first note. It is chaotic in the best way - brilliantly intense and backed by a 'Scream'-inspired music video that only adds to the drama. Gunn leaves a lasting mark with off-the-wall lyrics like 'I'm a bug with a hot body' and 'I'm on the bleachers in a dream / where you're about to kill me off / suck like a leech, babe'. Lucky Girl is wacky, wild, and above all completely enticing - exactly the kind of track you want stuck in your head. Be right back, just going to explore everything Lonnie has released so far.

Elle Coves - 'Peace'

'Peace' feels like it has cracked the code for the perfect pop track - fans online have already been shouting, 'welcome back, 1989-era Taylor Swift!' Elle Coves bares all here, confronting the emotional chaos of walking away from a relationship, not out of anger, but to finally catch her breath. Across 'Peace', Elle has handled heartache with grace, acknowledging a quiet, brave choice to let go. Above all, if you are going to be heartbroken over being unable to truly find a common ground with someone, you may as well throw in an intoxicating pre-chorus and dance your way through every feeling. It sounds like Elle is about to have her mainstream moment with this one, and it is so deserved!

Caity Baser - 'The Story Of Her'

Whilst it has been incredible to witness the rise of cheeky, tongue-in-cheek pop sensation Caity Baser, it feels like 2025 is the year we’re truly getting to know her, beyond the graphic eyeliner and picture-perfect styled hair. With her latest releases, and especially on 'The Story of Her', Caity peels back the extroverted persona to reveal something far more intimate. Sonically, it leans jazzier, still theatrical in all the right ways, but now layered with a vulnerability that highlights just how much her songwriting has evolved and become more elevated than ever. You can already tell how deeply these new tracks will resonate with her audience, and in revealing this new side of herself, Caity only becomes more multi-faceted, and far more magnetic.

Lois - 'SEVEN'

With a deliciously experimental sound and alt-inspired pop edge, 'SEVEN' is a whirlwind of craving and questioning. Lois described the track as 'craving a party, night life, connection, dancing, crying, loving - it’s everything you go to a party for, and everything you’re running away from,' and that is exactly how it feels to the listener. She blends all these elements into something gloriously messy, a rush of emotions that hit you like a wave as you grow. It embraces the turbulence, and captures that question-mark moment in life with refreshing honesty. Her voice loops around your head like a dream, carrying the weight of it all with a kind of effortless ache. With each release, it feels like Lois is stepping further into her popstar era. Oh, and just a thought... A collab with CATTY? We would eat that right up.

Moon Panda - 'Lost World'

'Lost World' by Moon Panda stands out like nothing else on your release radar this week. With this track, the band fully leans into their dream pop sound, crafting a hazy, swirling soundscape that perfectly complements the emotional weight of the lyrics. It captures that disorienting, in between moment in time when a relationship ends and the world as you knew it starts to dissolve. There is a soft kind of chaos in the track, echoing the slow, uncomfortable journey of self-realisation that follows this heartbreak. Things stand still yet everything feels like it is changing, and Moon Panda make every part of the confusion feel beautiful. With an equally dreamy music video to match and the announcement of their upcoming album 'Dumb Luck', Moon Panda are building a world that we have become completely obsessed with, and one we can’t wait to explore further.

See you soon for the next instalment of Future Vibrations...
